MONDNACHT   An Artist’s Farewell – A Film Project

A final bow. A last song. A story that rarely finds its way onto the screen.

The story unfolds within the walls of the Steytlerville Theatrical Karoo Hotel — a legendary venue in the heart of the South African Karoo where velvet curtains meet desert winds. On this stage, suspended between past and present, an artist offers his soul to the audience one last time.

This is more than a performance. It is a journey into the heart of what it means to say goodbye — to the stage, to one’s audience, and to a lifetime of art.

Why This Film Matters

We celebrate the beginnings of artists, but rarely do we pause to honor their final chapter. An Artist’s Farewell captures that moment of vulnerability, dignity, and grace — preserving it for audiences far beyond the theater walls.

How You Can Help

Your contribution will go directly toward:

1. Production costs – filming in the Karoo and at the Grimaldi Theater

2. Post-production – editing, sound, and color grading

3. Festival submissions – sharing the film with international audiences

Every donation, no matter the size, brings this story closer to reality.
